Amazon is seeking passionate and innovative Applied Scientists to join its Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams in Bengaluru. As an Applied Scientist I, you will collaborate with experienced researchers and engineers to develop intelligent systems for speech recognition, natural language understanding, computer vision, and generative AI. Your work will contribute to next-generation Amazon products and services used by millions of customers worldwide.

Design, develop, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for large-scale applications. Research and implement innovative algorithms for speech recognition, natural language processing, and computer vision. Build scalable AI solutions that improve customer experiences across Amazon products. Train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning models using large datasets. Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and research teams to deploy production-ready AI systems. Analyze experimental results and continuously improve model accuracy and performance. Contribute to the development of scalable distributed machine learning solutions. Stay updated with emerging advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning research. Document technical findings and communicate research outcomes effectively. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and innovation initiatives.

Machine Learning Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence Python / Java / C++ Natural Language Processing (NLP) Computer Vision Reinforcement Learning Large Language Models (LLMs) Data Structures & Algorithms Model Training & Evaluation Mathematical Optimization Problem Solving

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals. Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, or Speech Processing is preferred. Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
